Common questions about Durin's pricing model, what gets billed, and how costs work.
Which number should I use to estimate the bill?
Use the organization’s enabled, verified production connection count. A connection is the configured upstream installation with its authentication and policy boundary. The number of people, tools, provider projects, or client sessions is not the billing quantity.
For the current organization, inspect Billing and the state of individual installations in Connections. For a planned activation, use the fresh activation preview. A hypothetical full-month estimate and a prorated invoice answer different questions.
How much does Durin cost?
First connection free per organization. Your first four paid connections are $399 each per month. Each additional paid connection is $199 per month. Six connections cost $1,795 per month before tax and proration. People and agent clients do not add seat charges.
Do more employees increase the bill?
No. The quantity is the enabled, verified upstream connection count. Seats, clients, sessions, and calls do not add units. You can add your entire team without additional charges.
Is a draft connection billed?
No. Draft and disabled connections are unbilled until configured activation and commercial conditions are met.
When are payment details required?
Payment details are required before the first production activation, including the free connection. The public simulator and synthetic sandbox do not require a production payment method.
Does the volume tier change the price of earlier connections?
The lower tier applies to additional connections after the first four paid connections. The first connection stays free and the first four paid connections remain at their standard tier. It is not a single discounted rate applied retroactively to every installation.
The Billing page breaks quantity down by tier. Inspect that breakdown when comparing an estimate with the subscription subtotal, then account separately for tax and any proration on the invoice.
Do two installations for the same provider count once?
Separate enabled, verified production installations count separately even when they connect to the same provider. Sharing one installation across several authorized people does not create extra units merely because more people use it.
Choose separate installations when the authentication or access boundary calls for them. Adding a project, repository, reviewed tool, or OAuth grant inside an existing configured connection does not by itself create another connection unit.
Does disabling a connection erase the month’s usage?
No. Disabling stops its enabled contribution going forward; it does not erase transfer already measured or past billing events. Re-enabling is subject to the current activation checks and billing preview.
The transfer allowance is pooled across the organization and prorated by enabled time. Overage is measured but not charged. Use the effective dates and current invoice preview when investigating a change partway through the billing period.
Can I explore Durin before payment setup?
The public documentation and simulator are available without production payment setup. Draft and synthetic sandbox activity are separate from enabled production connection quantity. Payment details are required when you proceed to your first production activation, including the free connection.
